Tonight: Debate Watching Party/Drinking Game
Tonight I’m going to have a few dedicated citizens over to my apartment to watch the first Presidential debate and we’re gonna spice it up a tad by introducing the drinking game element. Is this a first? Has this been done? Can I copyright this? The plan is to set up some rules - for instance:
1) Anytime someone says “hope” or “change” - We drink.
2) If Obama says “folks” - We drink
3) If McCain mentions being a POW, says or “fight” - We drink.
4) If McCain flashes that creepy smile - A shot
5) If someone mentions Osama Bin Laden or 9-11 - Finish your drink
I started a FriendFeed room and we’re gonna “Live Feed” it - leave a running tally of observations and whatnot, as well as drop in some videos we’ll be shooting during the evening. Feel free to come join the room, voice your opinions or leave a video. The more the merrier.
I’m sure it can be argued that we are not taking this most important part of our political process seriously, which might have some weight, but I prefer to look at it like this:
They chose to have this thing on a Friday night. What the hell do you think would happen.
Let’s do this. See you at 9pm EST.
“Breaking Bad won a second Emmy last night and it was a major one at that. Bryan Cranston walked away with the statuette for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series beating out James Spader (Boston Legal), Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Hugh Laurie (House), Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment) and Jon Hamm (Mad Men). ” YES!!!! I love this show!!1
Took me forever, but I’m super into it now. If you’re on it, Friend me up. Lisa Baldini - you were right!
