In the rush to make the flight, forgot the laptop at home. Only brought the iPad. So begins a 2 week iPad-only test.
I blew it. Went to bed über late leaving only time for an hour's
sleep, aaaaaaand didn't hear the frigging alarm.
mindless blur of missed details and swear words, Melissa and I forgot
the MacBook Air. FAIL Part II, Son of FAIL. I did remember the iPad, and now its utility will be tested by being
my only computer for 2 weeks during this trip to Los Angeles, then
Hawaii. I'm actually pretty interested to see how this turns out - no
"real" keyboard, no Flash, for two weeks. Right away, I realize that I won't be able to download video from my
camcorder, or pictures from the still camera (unless I get the camera
connector from an Apple Store). I could always buy some fresh SD
cards. So here I sit in the JFK Airport about to dig into a breakfast burrito
tapping away on the iPad. My new best friend. Don't let me down little buddy.

Chalupa Really Likes this Chair
My cat Chalupa seems to adopt some oddly adorable new behavior or characteristic about every month. Currently, he's taken to rubbing his face on my work chair like it's made of a mixture of catnip, crack, and God's love.

Think I'm gonna start blogging more
I tend to bounce around between things I'm interested in (to a fault), and blogging was something I was super enthusiastic about for a long time until a couple years back, when I got into vlogging. I still would love to keep up SteveIsaacs.tv but it takes so frigging long to make every video, (largely because of the importing & exporting through iMovie) that I got frustrated and quit. I'd like to give it another shot, I really miss doing it.
In the meantime, I'm going to be adding more to this page than I have been doing recently. I'm about to take a trip out West - first making a stop in Los Angeles, then off to Oahu for a week. God knows I'll be posting my ass off there, so I figure I might as well send those posts ...here.
Just gave this page a bit of a graphical facelift, what do you think?
